The clocks are going forward on the morning of Sunday 31st March 2024! Check out our tips to help you get a better night’s sleep when they change! Daylight saving time can affect our bodies and make us more tired than normal!
Tip 1.
Change your clocks over the night before & try to go to sleep an hour earlier!
Tip 2.
Get up at the same time as normal! Oversleeping the morning after the clocks go forward can delay your circadian rhythm’s ability to adjust to the change. Trying to get the recommended 7-8 hours of sleep will help you feel rested!
Tip 3.
Ensure your sleeping environment is dark, quiet & comfortable. Also, ensure it’s not too hot or too cold as this can also affect your sleep.
Tip 4.
Go for a walk or get some fresh air. Tiring your body out can help you to fall asleep easier that evening.
Tip 5.
Reduce exposure to light by putting your devices away at least 30 minutes before you want to fall asleep.
Tip 6.
Try to avoid a quick nap and embrace the tiredness for this one day! You don’t want to confuse your body anymore!
