A firm mattress is a type of mattress that provides a high level of support and typically has a minimal amount of cushioning. Firm mattresses are designed to keep the body in a relatively flat position, which can help keep the spine aligned and prevent it from sinking into the mattress. A firm mattress is rated a ‘4’ on our scale of firmness, with 1 being softest and 5 being the firmest.
