John Rayment, from St Leonard’s-On-Sea, undertook the Hastings Half Marathon and then the inaugural London Landmarks Half Marathon (LLHM) the following week. This was all to raise vital funds for the MS Society.

John had hoped to raise £1,000. John smashed his target, raising £1,800 while also achieving a personal best of 1.58.36 in the LLHM.

John, who works for the local company Sussex Beds, said, “Both my mum and aunt have multiple sclerosis (MS) so I wanted to put myself through my paces so I could give something back to the charity that has directly helped my family.

“I would like to thank everyone who has supported my personal challenge with words of encouragement and sponsorship. In particular, I must show my gratitude to Sussex Beds who very generously donated £500 towards my fundraising.”
